Biography
I was once a Technical Analyst reformed to being a sworn value investor. I left the field after having the unique opportunity to study the success of many well known "Financial Gurus". I quickly learned their reputations rarely matched their results. I then studied the strategies of successful investors to determine what would work for me. From that point forward I was never comfortable working as a technical analyst. I professionally (and as a hobby) study businesses, valuation, markets (including real estate). Since I have a professional background in investing and financial matters feel free to ask away! However, you will not get any recommendations from me... my investments are my own. I personally invest in a concentrated fashion and would not recommend my philosphies to anyone not willing/able to do their own homework. I am very Macro and long term in my views as I have learned the hard way that being to focused on Micro econ data points can be very harmful to long term results. Take no offense as I enjoy playing devil's advocate at times. It encourages people to think and often adds depth to conversations. As per any disclaimers you might read. Please take thought into any of my comments and don't just assume something I say would be the right answer in every situation.
