MF CONTEST Ranks for cob 6/27/08

Here is the June month end ranking. This ranking follows another bad week - possibly another low for the year. Energy & Gold heavy portfolios got a boost, while those holding India are getting killed. Each contestant picked 5 funds (only funds, no stocks), purchased in equal amounts (ea 10K) on 12/31. Our ranks are based on M*'s system of YTD returns, using an Excel spreadsheet. I'm not going to do the mid year fund exchange this year. It's just too much hassle, and I don't have the time. As well as an apparent lack of interest due to the bear mkt and board changes, etc. etc. If you are really dissappointed, then list your (single) exchange in this conversation, and if it looks like it would have propelled you into the lead at the year end, I will calculate the returns then. I understand. I am not "dissapointed", as I too, can sense the lack of interest. But, just in case my other four horses come alive in the 2nd half of the year: sell ETGIX and buy KOL. Regardless of the outcome, your time and efforts in the contest have been much appreciated. Paul
