Mutual Fund Monthly Summary Reports

I was browsing around the Artisan site and noticed that they offer monthly summary reports on their funds. Obviously, this is a nice update between official quarterly reports. These are not sent to me as part of my e-document delivery through my broker, so it was a surprise to me.

I looked at some of my other Mutual Funds (Dodge&Cox, T.Rowe Price, Masters) and none of them appear to offer this.

Is this new with Artisan?

Just bumping this up. I did find that T. Rowe Price has "flash reports" which sound similar to the Artisan monthly commentary I enjoy but they restrict it to institutional advisers only. If they already have and publish the info, I don't understand why they won't share with fund holders.

I have been reading Artisan monthly reports for over an year now.

I think they have been provided for a long time by now.

The monthly summary reports are nice, as they keep you informed about what the managers are thinking.  It doesn't seem like it would be that much work, since they are not as detailed as a quarterly report, so it's too bad more places don't do it.  From the standpoint of the shareholder it is nice to know what the guys managing your money is thinking.

Unfortunately, I can't buy Artisan Funds anymore through Firstrade, so I won't be adding to my positions with them.
