Allegiant Air

Has anyone flown this low cost airline and have any comments on it?  I will be flying from Vegas to Des Moines, Iowa and they have the lowest fares that I can find and direct as well.  I can't find anything on the type of plane and can't get thru to their customer service in a reasonable time frame.

Thanks, Dan

I flew them recently on a charter from New Hampshire to Laughlin NV.  I thought they are only a contract charter operation.  I didn't know they had regularly scheduled flights.  The flight and service was fine.  I forget the plane model but it was fairly large and had 3 seats on each side of the aisle.

Yes, my wife and I have used them out of Lansing, MI.

Their planes are new and clean, the service is better than many domestic airlines, and in our experience they have kept to the schedule.  We used them to both Las Vegas and Florida (both non-charter flights).

On Saturday, I put a couple of friends of mine on the flight to Tampa because of a family emergency.

By the way, as with Southwest you can buy one-way tickets without paying any penalty.  Here's a link to their website.
