AIG or TIAA?

Not so long ago AIG traded around $73 bucks.  Now it's around $40 in after hour's trading because they were so shmart, or is it greedy?  http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=AIG

Why Vanguard would continue to sell AIGs product escapes me.  Bob U.

I saw their earnings as they came across this afternoon and I wondered about all the DieHards who may have AIG annuities. I imagine they are safe but I always have maintained if I were to annuitize it would only be with TIAA!

Let's see how long Vanguard continues to sell AIG annuities!

I paid a good amount to get out of AIG.  I'm now with TIAA-CREF.  It was worth the price to escape high (and hidden) AIG costs.

Be glad you're out, Mike.

Here are the cruelest cuts of all--two ratings downgrades in a day.  http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/080508/aig_ratings.html?.v=1

Bob, I am very glad that I am out.  The cost of getting out is made up rather quickly by the savings when no longer beaten down by the fees.  Reading your linked article I am very happy to be with the highly rated TIAA-CREF.
