Belated Hello!

I moved my 4 -5% Reit holdings from TAREX (Third Ave Real Estate) into TRREX last month in my Scottrade Roth. TAREX did not pay out regular dividends being more of a Reoc than a pure Reit fund. If I want to own Reits I want the divs so this fund seems a better fit for me. Anyway, this is my 1st TRP fund and I know some of you from other boards so I'll be stopping by.

Hello and thanks,

Dave

Dave,

I also want to welcome you to the T. Rowe Price Fund Family Forum.

I don't own T-Rex, but I do own some TAREX, which is conveniently available through my 401k.  I have my Real Estate allocation equally divided between TAREX and EGLRX, Alpine International Real Estate fund.  When I bought EGLRX a few years ago it seemed to do more zigging when the market was zagging.  I also owned it in a Roth before TAREX became available in the 401k.  Currently, EGLRX seems to be more correlated with Asian stocks.  It does have a health dose of RE from that part of the world.  Imagine that!  Anyway, I was thinking of selling EGLRX, and doubling TAREX to the 6% portfolio RE allocation.  TAREX has become more global in its holdings lately, so I don't think I need both funds anymore.

That's my story, and I'm sticking with it:^)

Hi Dave!

Nice move getting into TRREX when you did..

I keep a 5% allocation to TRREX come hell or high tide. I sell it off if it gets too much above my target and buy into it when it tanks. Works like a charm.

If I ever get nervous about it I place a call to my buddy helmut and he gives me a lesson on the merits of patience and the bonus that comes with rebalancing.
