Has anyone had a recent update from Chip? I don't think I received his free newsletter in months. I hope he is OK

I've been wondering what's happened for more than a month also. Miss Chip's contributions enormously.

About a year ago his computer crashed and he lost the news letter distribution list. I was checking how his portfolio has been doing, It's up about 9% from the beginning of this year...To bad that I didn't follow his recommendations.

Chip sent his portfolio along with his "take" on the economy and the why of his decisions via email in adobe format. Some of us were receiving this for several years. He also contributed to this forum as well as the diehard forum.

I hope he and family are well but his style, IMO, would not be to drop out like this if all were normal even if he were going to change his newletter to fee based... he would just say so, I think. He did travel out of the country for extended periods and possibly he is traveling now and his computer isn't available.

Bottom line I don't think you can get a copy unless he returns.

Thank you for starting this thread. I just received several issues of the Plumb Performance Portfolio. This thing is hilarious. I've been laughing out loud.  Better than passive vs. active debates, even. And his analysis is terrific. Very informative and insightful.

If you haven't subscribed, you should so so.  The newsletter is laugh out loud funny.  Chip's portfolio is very unorthodox, but he has done very, very well in the recent market downturn.  He misses an issue sometimes, but you get what you pay for.  I guess if you start hanging out with Frenchmen, their work habits eventually rub off on you.
