There's lots of products, commercials & infomercials for arthritis.  I've been tempted to order that one you just spray in your mouth.   The tv commercial for Advil makes it sound like a wonder drug - but i've got high blood pressure & don't want to try it yet.

Have you tried something that gave you some relief (and didn't run your blood pressure up?)?  Many thanks-

For me, Advil is a wonder drug as it is one of the few that helps with pain/swelling and gives me no side effects. However, I don't have high blood pressure or take it or other meds on a regular basis. FYI, there are dozens of causes of arthritis so it may not be wise to self-medicate without understanding the underlying cause.

The doctor's I go to have o.k.ed Glucosamine.  The cardiologist says, he sees about a 50% success rate from those using it.  That parallels what happened here.  My husband got relief.  It made no difference for me.  You need to be on it about 6 months to evaluate.  I buy when it's 2 for 1 at the drugstore.

This is not a product but a private Foundation that runs clinics for Arthritis and a few other medical problems here in AZ. It might have some information you would find useful:

Helen Foundation

I have no experience with them as I only recently found them.

I guess different things work for different people.  I remember reading a story many, many years ago about the movie star James Cobern(spelling?).  He was in such pain from arthritis he had to quit making movies.  Then he came across MSM.  It worked wonders for him & he went back to acting.  I think he even endorsed the product.

Try primose oil. Worked for me. You need to take it for 2 weeks before it kicks in. Also can be rubbed over the area, I'm told, though I didn't try that.
