And consider yourself fortunate SC. I believe John Edwards' plan would, in addition, actually have you beaten too, if you were rich enough :-) MWL

she won't beat you. She will have you jailed if you don't give her part of your pay. You need to use the liberal media, and the ACLU to take your neighbors pay, not beatings.

It's all just politics. She isn't going to pass anything. I am curious to see what the Obama camp is going to bring out. But Hillary's husband would call that a fairy tale too....

Politics picks Supreme Court Judges, that effect the future and culture of our country. Politics sends us to war. Politics can take your pay from you. Politics controls your childrens learning in Govt Schools. So, to suggest that it is "just Politics", seems a bit, "uninformed". Hillary could be very dangerous to the future of our country. When the libs spoke of Bush, they hated all of his "policies". As we hear about Hillary's "policies", we too hate them. So why elect another President, if we already hate their policies?

A lot of young people say "it's just politics". And, that they are not interested. Politics, is not funny, it's dangerous. These people, the politicians, can hurt us really bad. They can hurt the country, they can hurt the futures of our grandchildren. Dismissing "politics" is similar to saying "yes, I'll allow others to take control of my life". It can get better, but it can also get a lot worse. Maybe our generation hasn't experienced just how bad it can get. Everything is just pollyanna, funny. If you see a mushroom cloud in the distance, I sure hope that you maintain that sense of humor about our country, and our politics. Our first night sleeping on the ground, worried about where we'll get water and food, will change a lot of attitudes. I sure hope it never happens. But we, in the US, are not some special race of people that will never exprience adversity. We are strong, but very fragile at the same time. Sorry, I don't want paint a picture of doom and gloom, but it wouldn't hurt to be on guard against such potential. I happen to play golf with a lot of retired military, and they point out that, our society and culture, could be greatly threatened from within and with out.

Uninformed? On some things, yes. So tell me (and unless I misunderstood her "proposal" entirely), do you really think what she is proposing will get through the house, senate and GWB before November? Yes, she is trying to swing the vote of middle and lower middle class america. If you can not see that, please adjust your focus. I could be wrong (it certainly wouldn't be the first time), but I don't see her getting elected.

It makes no matter what she is proposing for November. If she is elected she will try even more Socialistic Practices than that. Could she be elected? We elected Carter didn't we. You elected Mulrooney, didn't you?

You're missing my point Maxim. It does for the time being matter what she is proposing, because I believe she is doing it only to get elected. She's back to her old ways. I thought there was a chance when she broke down in NH, and it did work to her advantage (good for her that it did), but this proposal just gives me (and hopefully others who can see beyond the real reason for this proposal) the same uncomfortable feeling Ive always held for her, Bubba notwithstanding. I think we've learned from our Carter years... Who is Mulrooney?

I thought that Mulrooney was your President. And yes it does matter what she says now. It's recorded. And she will be held accountable if she is elected. YOU see, the thing we learned with Bush is this: no matter what a President says, it wrong, no matter what they do it's wrong, no matter what happens in the world and the country, it is the direct result of the President, and if elected, they weren't really elected, because most people, even though the results didn't show it, want the opposition to be elected. Surely, you understand that those principles will be applied to a Dem President if elected, don't you? And if we learned from our CArter years, why is Obama so strong with the Dems? He says everything that Carter said. He wants all money spent for social services, just as Carter did. It appears that we learned nothing.

Maxim, Call me stupid, but Im still not clear who Mulrooney is. Surely, you understand that those principles will be applied to a Dem President if elected, don't you? Absolutely. Perhaps it is time to try a Libertarian since we as a country haven't gotten anywhere with the two parties thus far. Anyone know of anyone?
