is not necessarily a good thing. At least not long term. The US has good NG assets (eg. Barnett Shale). However, it appears to generally not be economic to produce when the price is less than $6.

down to $69.00/Bbl. I'm now wondering if there are Hedge Funds which are unwinding their positions to cover redemptions? The drillers and pipelines are down only slightly.

I am sure there were several hedge funds unloading. That and there is not an accelerated demand currently. If you check futures you will see the low prices do not extend out into next year.
