Cork flooring for kitchen: opinions?

I'm doing research for a kitchen remodel and am looking into cork flooring, as I like its appearance and comfort. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with it: how do you like it? How long have you had it and has it worn well? Is it easy to care for? Anything else to look out for? Any particular brands recommended?

I asked Santa Claus for a leaf blower for Xmas. What kind should he bring me? Don't want one that vacuums. Maybe want one that runs on straight gas if there is such a thing. My Silver Series Lawnboy(straight gas) is the greatest. Santa...I have been a very good boy!

I use a portable computer while lying on the bed. With bifocals, I have to bring the computer uncomfortably close to see. I had a computer glass made which made me see at a more comfortable distance. But I often forget to change back to my bifocals and cannot read the newspaper or drive. So I had a bifocal made with computer and reading glasses and it works out well. Now I can use the computer and read at the same time. Pat

Anybody out there put in a outdoor deck recently using any of the composite, pseudo-plastic, last forever material that is available out there? Is the expense a lot more? What are some of the names of the various products/materials available? How about different kinds of Wolmanized/treated wood available? I think most consumers are ignorant of range of available products out there. Any advice/experience? Thanks

How to rid walls of left over plug-in scents?

A neighbor of mine used Glade plug-in scents in all the rooms of his house. He was a heavy scent user for a long time. Now he wants to go completely unscented.

But even after all plug-ins have been removed, the scent remains on the walls.

The carpets have been professionally cleaned.

What would be good to use for washing/deodorizing the walls?

I am in need of some serious carpet cleaning in a couple of rooms

I have seen some stuff called "Capture", a dry chemical that you apply--wait a bit--then vaccuum up that's supposed to clean carpets plus pick up various allergens. I haven't read anything bad about it, have read some good stuff about it, but don't know anybody who has actually used it for a First Person testimonial

Anybody here, used it or heard any personal reviews / trashing of it?

I see & kill a roach occasionally - maybe up to two times a month now.

There is dry dog food out downstairs and dry cat food upstairs & downstairs - so i figure with all that food out there must be more roaches walking around at night.

Suggestions for purchase of refrigerator

Time has come to purchase a new refrigerator. We've "haunted" Sears, Home Depot, Lowes among other shops.

We've looked at Kenmore, Maytag, GE, Whirlpool and other brands and the more we look, the more confuse I get.

Any thoughts and/or suggestions would be appreciated.
