It remains to be seen whether the Prius really gets a boost from the solar panels, whether the idea will catch on, and whether the Kyocera panels turn out to be the best suited for the job. KYO is a big company with a lot of the other product lines, so the success of the Prius gimmick will be relatively tangential to their value. So, personally, I wouldn't make that connection.

Of course, that doesn't mean that it's not a good time to consider purchasing KYO, if you need a Japanese electronics firm in your asset mix. I just bought some Sharp (SHCAY), a better-known electronics and solar-panel firm, for similar reasons, so you might consider that as well.
