"(Of course this a managed worldwide hybrid, not a stock, nor a volatile index of stocks)"
LOL....-18+% for the year!!! Talk about your disappointment.
Invest $1,000,000 on Jan 1st, and have 180K less in 6 months? And that includes those wonderful divys!
Pass on this "smooth ride"
Then of course, there is the 1.3% ER combined with the 4.5% load. That means an average 2% headwind for the first 5 years. 5 years? That's longer than this fund has even been around.
I don't think most retirees are up for a fund with 83% stocks, 62% annual turnover.
BTW, is it dividend growth or dividend chasing? If the total fund turns over in 1.61years, how much "growth" of dividend can there be? Or are they just chasing higher and higher yielding stocks, much of which recently is based on that 20% market haircut.
TIBAX is ADVDX lite. You get the risk, but not the dividend yield.
Baby fund. First real test, it fails. 3 stars. 62% turnover. Big ER. Load fund.
Most retirees will PASS, IMHO
best,
