Countries like France or Netherland used to have colonies with large Muslim population.Therefore number of people from former colonies had ties with European country.

That's why you always had Muslims living in France,Netherland,Great Britain etc.

Scandinavian countries like Denmark never had colonies like that.Therefore there are no real ties with countries  with predominantly Muslim populatuion and they can be viewed by some a a"foreign element" in case they refuse to assimilate.
