Trasnferring IRA from Oakmark to Fidelity viveks  07-07-2008, 11:09 AM | Post #2536325  |

Hi all,

I wanted to buy OAKBX in my IRA account with Fidelity, and since it is closed to new investors there, I opened an account directly with Oakmark and now want to transfer it back to Fidelity.

I remember a few other folks on this board have done this, the question I have is what firm name you provided for IRA account when transferring it to Fidelity? Should it be "State Street Bank & Trust" which shows up as custodian for this account, or should it be Oakmark funds. Again this is for an IRA account. I did call both Oakmark and Fidelity and got different answers.

Very much appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Vivek
