I picked funds that did well in the Last Bear Yrs of 00-02' and they're holding up Ok.

while the rest of the $ is About even in Bal. Funds.

I just met with some folks that wanted some adivce, with same history as yours and I just advised them of the following funds

FPACX,OAKBX,PRWCX,PRPFX ( they're all at Good Buying time now)

CASH in FFRHX & VIPSX

and hope for the best.. and don't go investing in Any other stuff.. it's too late in your lives to take those kinda risks..Unless you have Extra $ floating around and then wait until next Recovery time and go with a PRLAX and a PREMX.

I am Biased into Bal. Funds, have been eversince 1998 and they saved me from loosing my butt in those tech yrs.. I only lost about 10% during that time, since the rest was all tied up in those Bal. Funds..
