LOL..Well maybe for you Joe, but not for me , nor my friends Buddy..

1. Sure our Mrtgage is paid off and All of us Downsized, but the Real Estate taxes have gone up considerably..( almost 50%) in the last 5 yrs..

2. Kids are out of town? still doesn't mean you can ignore them.. Cost more to travel to see them and they always Need some kind of Financial Help from time to time and then there are the Grandkids..

3. retirement accounts? Well, we need to at least add 4% apy to keep up with Inflation and add at least another 2-3% for some kind of Growth..

4. We All have to pay SS Taxes.. why? we make More..From our Pensions and Investments..I've got SSD and have to pay taxes on about 85% of it..

Good thing I've maintained about a 60/40 Bal and currently for going into 07' a 50/50 mix.. and will go back to a 60/40 if not a 70/30 when things start to look better.

And we spend More..and plan to in our first 10 yrs of retirement.planning on Not being "that Phsyically" able to as we get older..

Butt, everyone is alittle different and has different needs ..
