Looking at the chart again today, another observation is the upper right quadrant is loaded with countries in the semi conductor market, and soft goods, with the exception of Japan.
Above the red horizontal line are the producing countries, below are the consuming ones. S Korea I think of as a producer, hence a currency issue.. Maybe why German mutual funds are investing in korea.. If they re-value the won, it could jump to another quadrant. Same with N. Z.. food contracts with China..
I'm left with the notion that US, Brits and India won't move into another quadrant in the near term.
