Socialists live in a fool's world. Government produces nothing, they only take from some to give to others, resulting in a zero sum game. Only in the private sector can we expand what we produce so that everyone gets a higher standard of living. There is a place for government in helping those who cannot help themselves, but those who rely on government are bound to be disappointed. Government cannot exist without taking from the private sector, and when you remove a part of the private sector, we have less growth.
