kerryvan:I have the energy and material sectors covered, so I'm looking for a 'foods' type commodity funds. I just noticed a post for dxctx, it may be the one. I've looked at

I was leaning toward pcrdx, but uncomfortable with the choices. I want an active managed fund due to the swings in commodities, so etf's are out. The long and short in dxctx could be a benefit.
If you're thinking of PCRDX, you'd be better off going with PCRIX since it's the same fund but with a lower expense ratio. Something is wrong with the Stock Charts data-- maybe it doesn't include reinvested dividends?-- there's no way that PCRIX performed worse than PCRDX, which is reflected in the M* returns.
Also, I'm pretty sure that PCRIX/PCRDX are just index funds. They invest a certain amount in various commodities and rebalance annually.
