Hey Carfau,  I say keep trying and let us know how it goes.  MALOX was posted on the Merrill Lynch Direct web site as a $1000 minimum but when an online attempt would not go through I called and asked why.  They said that it was only available to their employees for that amount.  I like the fund but I think MCLOX is a tad pricey.  Them again I did just bought GLBLX with an ER slightly over 2% so you never know.  Many brokerages allow you into institutional funds at a lower minimum so I don't think it it a "mistake".  Either myself or people I know have gotten into THOIX,TGVIX,MDISX,ANJIX,.H AINX,WASYX,PRCIX, and LSBDX all at a lower minimum.

Good Luck,  Dan
