Yes, it is a very tough year, but I would not sell equities now. Having said that, for someone looking at retirement in eight years, I'd say you have a very aggressive portfolio. You only appear to have about 8% in bonds (from freedom 2020) and those bonds are mostly lower quality ones at that. And you are aggressively overweight in small caps with a weighting of about 22%.

If you have some back-up such as guaranteed income streams like a pension ro other back-ups, then maybe you can get by with as much risk as you have, but if you don't, then you may be taking unreasonable risk. My suggestion would be to add the 10k now to a diversified  AAA rated bond fund.
