Nagorak:Thanks for the link to the article, MasterPlan. That is a bit sobering. This is one reason why I think there is some advantage in investing with regional specialists like Matthews. They actually are on the ground in these countries and can see what is happening with their own eyes.
In theory, that's a good idea.
In actuality, MINDX is down 20% (or slightly more) in the last 3 months, while the index fund, INP, is down 22%. I suppose that is "some advantage," but I was hoping for more advantage than that. They could have achieved that with no more effort than holding 10% in cash. This is my first experience investing with Matthews, and it doesn't give me much faith in them.
