Erryl:

What sort of investments would "Special Opportunities" constitute?

Any suggestions on a good Infrastructure fund or ETF?

I own TIPS through Vanguard's VIPSX (Vanguard Inflation Proof Bonds) but I also recently purchased WIP ( SPDR DB Intl Govt Infl-Protected Bond) which is an ETF consisting of World Inflation Proof Bonds which I view as a good diversifier of TIPS as it gives more foreign exposure.

I considered purchasing MERKX (Merk Hard Currency) which is a fine fund but opted to purchase BWX (SPDR Lehman Intl Treasury Bond) since it has outperformed MERKX with much lower fees and costs.

The more I look at ETF's and ETN's the more I tend to prefer them over traditional mutual funds.

In these turbulent times I regret that the United States went of the Gold Standard. I wish there was more "backing" our equities and cash.

Thank you

Mr. Purrington
