I've been giving a lot of thought to the general style of dividend investing that ElLobo has been presenting. I keep waiting for someone to try and "shoot some holes in it". I'm retiring in about a month in what seems to me to be very unnerving times, so taking just the yield produced by my portfolio, spending most of it to live on, and reinvesting the rest, makes some sense to me.

I've put together a tentative portfolio of mutual funds and individual stocks that have a weighted yield of about 10.46%. I'll be refining that portfolio, if needed, between now and retirement date so I'll have a good place to start. Meanwhile............I'm all ears!
