 Sounds like  you are doing pretty good.  I do not want as much growth and more value than what you hold at this time.  I can't prove it's wrong with any one ratio, soundbyte or bullet though.  Just seems the macroeconomic pendelum is swinging in value's favor.  I haven't used the Vanguards or Fidelitys so I only know what you probably already know; low costs and solid management.  Just not real agile due to gargantuan assets in the big funds. 

I'd like to bring up saving even though this is an investing forum if you don't mind.  Being in combat, thank you for your service, I think calls for more in the emergency fund.  I think I'd bone up the MMMF in case you need emergency leave or have some similar CDR. Murphy orchestrated excercise in liquidity.   Do you have sinking funds for large purchases in the middle-term?  For instance, are you going to do any travel leave like maybe at an AFV Club in a resort setting?
