I hate to be perfectly blunt here but...several posters have very little idea what PRPFX is supposed to accomplish long term. It does not make market calls, the allocations are pretty static (within ranges) and constantly rebalances but Michael keeps it very tax efficient (for taxable aacounts). If you want to do that on your own with buying and selling ETFs constantly so be it.

If you want to know more about the fund try Permanent Funds website, Harry Brownes website or go to Amazon.com and buy the Fail Safe Investing book.

It's a pretty simple concept. Own asset classes that will cover all economic periods and hold forever. IE no one knows what is overvalued/oversold and how long this condition will take to play out. So hold everything.
