In the middle of "radical Islam" is a curious phrase. Did you mean to say Iraq is in the middle of a group of Islamic nations?

I'm assuming you realize that this was the prime reason we were attacked...for our undesired military presence in what they consider their holy land. 

You should just say we're there for the oil and be done with it.
