Maxim this is one of the few times I disagree with you.      Its not money its what is inside that motivates one to work hard.  

If its good pay the Auto Workers should be model employees.   Great pay,  virtually free medical and a fat pension.    They are paid on average $25 more per hour in pay and benefits then their average European or Asian counterpart.    Average total is $62 per hour.

Generally they hate their employer.    Try to strong arm the company into unreasonable contracts.   Strike if their demands are not met.  Love it when the Fed sticks it to their employer.    Have an average of over 20 sick call ins per year (national average is 4%, auto industry is 10%)

This is just those 1 in 100 times I disagree.
