But then don't complain when the front line people that aren't making much money really don't give a dam about you, or service etc.

When front line people aren't paid enough to care, then that is the responsibility of the CEO.  He/she then failed to give the consumer etc what they want.... not the low paid clerc.

Stop complaining about the working slob.  Start complaining that top management has managed their budgets so poorly that they can't afford to hire quality people.
