I agree that many ceo's take home too much money. But those are the ones that we hear about. There are also many that earn a small amount and do their jobs well.

Ken also hit it on the head when he stated how bad it is in retail. We needed a new washing machine a few weeks ago.Stopped at Sears, saw the one we wanted, could not find a salesman. After standing there for about 15 minutes I started looking for someone to take my money, finally found four salesmen in a circle jerk all the way in the back of the appliance dept.partially hidden. They were just bs'ing,i asked if we could get some help, was told that one of them would be there in a minute. After waiting another ten minutes with no one showing up we left. One of them ran after us,I just turned and suggested he stick his washer.
We as a society have had it too good. Many don't remember the hard times of the early '70's ,never really had to scratch and don't appreciate the value of a buck.Kids walk around with expensive cell phones, ipods and have every gizmo under the sun.I'm not talking about just kids from well to do families either.
As the inbalance between tax producers and tax abusers grows it will become much tougher for middle class to stay middle class. There are constantly more govt.entities with their hands out for more dollars or ours.
We are getting to the point that the hard workers are the saps that get punished for attempting to get a better life for their families. The hard worker gets kicked in the chops.the sluffer gets rewarded.
