I'm retiring Aug.4th (will be 60 in Sept.). I have just recently become interested in the mechanics of living off of dividends in retirement. I'll be needing more from my portfolio than the traditional 4% SWR based on TR investing, so the idea of dividend income fills my need. I'm making a definite change going from TR investing to dividend investing, so my education needs to be fairly rapid. I've been reading all of the discussions in this forum and trying to capture what understanding that I can. All your advice and comments back and forth have helped. I appreciate it.

What criteria do you use to make your stock selections?
BruceM,
Do you mind sharing your idea of a good dividend-income-producing retirement portfolio?
Thanks,
