We live in a wonderful, free country Quien  06-25-2008, 10:00 AM | Post #2532316

snowflake:

Lost inside the labyrinthine bureaucracy of VA red tape they all too often receive substandard, inadequate medical care and post discharge VA benefits which would help them to readjust to civilian life.

While the show of hands and welling of tears by the Pentagon desk jockeys is a nice gesture on an institutional level these heroes have been pretty much cold shouldered by the Bush administration if not the country for their service and sacrifice which has changed their lives not for the better forever.

Peace and love,

Flakey

I associate with 3 vets, that still have shrapnel in their bodies.  All of them tell me that their care at the VA Hospital has been excellent.

I am sure that there are problems and the current media that seems to desparately want to paint our country as bad, would hi-lite any problems.  Those same problems exist in all hospitals.

The problem is not with VA Hospitals, the problem is with those that want to denigrate the US at every turn, whether in this instance or with the false Global Warming claims.

Why can't those that oppose Bush just simply promote THEIR  candidate?  Why do they have to trash our country and it's current leaders to promote their candidates?  THAT is the worst type of mud slinging and borders on un patriotic.
