Depends on the final terms as to how BAC will make out in the Countrywide acquisition.I owned Countrywide and was very happy when BAC bought them out. However then learned that BAC does not have to take over all of the Countrywide debt. So took the loss (around 40%) and moved on. i agree that it is probably too late for BAC to back out, but not too late to structure the deal more favourably to BAC, by shedding a lot of the subordinated debt.
