And what's up with the love of massive corporations like Exxon?  These companies lobby the hell out of the government so that they get government goodies and pay less in taxes than companies that don't have lobbyists and you guys fall over yourselves saying how wonderful these companies are.

This is some of the crap that the leftists spew from their ignorant sites.  Go take a look at the XOM annual report.  Last year, they paid a marginal tax rate of 41% and a total tax bill of $30,000,000,000 (that's billion!).  Did you have a marginal tax rate of even half that?  I bet no.

Just a little perspective.  That $30,000,000,000 is the same as the entire bottom 55% of taxpayers.  Thus, Exxon paid more taxes than 65,000,000 people, out of 124,000,000 taxpayers.

And the subsidies everyone harps on.  They amount to a whole $14 billion over 10 years!  A drop in the bucket.  I bet the big oil companies would gladly give them back.  Heck, they never asked for them in the first place.  Unions and the manufacturing companies did so congress covered all companies that were deemed mfg. for which, oil companies are included.

As O'Reilly would say, Wise up!
