Got friends in Ames, Iowa (my youngest son graduated from Iowa State) who hardly think land prices and crops are anywhere near a top.
My sense is the purchase may have been into the general account of Traditional, or possibly the new closed-end fund, because if it occurred in December in TREA we would know by now, don't you think?
Also, be sure to note that the purchase was not concentrated just in Illinois. The purchase involved farmland in seven states.
I do like the idea that we may be getting some exposure to commodities--will ease the pain a bit when I go grocery shopping! :-) Bob U.
