You could do far worse in your investing that just buying STAR or Wellington and dollar cost averaging into it over your lifetime.
If you get more aggressive with stocks because of your age (which is ok) make sure you can handle the volatility. Looking back at various funds you are thinking of and seeing how they did during 2000-2002 can be helpful. See if you could stomach those kinds of losses.
the balanced funds (like STAR, WEllington, Target date, etc) are nice because they do the rebalancing for you.
luckily you have a lot of choices that would serve you well.
