Youth Movement? Or age discrimination against older people Maxim  06-08-2008, 9:08 AM | Post #2526175  |

The Youth Movement.  What a great way to say "age discrimination".

There was a time when older people were honored and reveered for their wisdom.  Not now. No. If you are older, you are dumb.

Reminds me of the son that that his father was just plain stupid.  But learned as he got older and started to raise a family, that his father grew in wisdom.

Youth Movement means, old people are trashed.  Old people should give up the money that worked hard for, scraped and saved, did without, in order for the "youth" to go out and buy the latest ipod, the newest car, the biggest TV, multiple stereos, and on and on.   They must have it all now.

And then the media spurns older people and just loves the younger face.  Even if the younger person is a complete idiot, with no experience, a background of terror support and complete vague statement.

The "youth" do not like older people.  Older people keep asking questions like "why change it if it's working", "tell us exactly what you mean by 'change'", and what are your SPECIFIC PLANS, not your generalities.

Give me the wisdom of age, the experience, the hardships endured, the life's lessons and the ability to work through an issue, vs charge forward with no idea of a plan.

We need a "Senior Movement".  Older people that work together to plan the best possible solutions for our Government.  Not just AARP, which is leftist dominated, but something that represents all older people.

Older people are more active, be careful with your youth movement, it is is insulting to older people.
