I am glad to see that you have chosen to avoid unhelpful products inside the Roth IRA.  I realize that you will have to pay a penalty to leave the B Shares inside the insurance policy, and they may even make it a hastle for you to leave.  But if it were me I would just chalk it up to a learning experience.  Over the course of the long career you have ahead of you it will be a relatively small expense.
