When it comes down to it, ADVDX's role in any portfolio should be as a supporting fund, an experiment. At least that is what I believe. It seems to be working well with its quirky self. Unfortunately, "quirky" means that it will always have its detractors. Since I *like* quirky and I *like* experiments, ADVDX's oddities do not bother me. As for the Alpine CEFs, I own both AGD and AWP. I also once owned AOD but found it more volatile than AGD, so I sold it. I bot AWP a few months after its IPO only to watch it slide on its tush, so I sold it in Dec'07. It appears to have stabilized somewhat, so I bot it back on 4/15 at 12.73.
