committeeman of the 49th ward in Rogers Park on Chi-town's far north side. Tony and I went to school with some of the Hartigan kids at St. Ignatius Parochial Elementary School and my sister was classmate to one of the Hartigans at St. Scholastica High School for Girls on Ridge Boulevard just south of Howard Street.
In the late 1960s when I was a callow twenty-something we used to hang out at Albion Beach and smoke reefer which we'd cop from off-duty cops; twenty bucks got ya' an oz. of primo stuff back in the day, enough for a weekend of party hearty. After smoking we'd get the munchies and go over to Cindy Sue's Restaurant underneath the Loyola Avenue El station on Sheridan Road and stuff ourselves with Cokes and pizza.
Those WERE the DAYS my friends.......
Peace and love,
Flakey
