Re: Can someone explain how Saddam posed a threat to the US? allanj103  05-28-2008, 3:01 PM | Post #2522355

I really don't care to try and explain it. No matter what anyone says, the arguments will go on.

Now, just maybe, someone can explain to me how Serbia posed a threat to the United States. Bill Clinton bombed that tiny nation around the clock for 83 days. I would have thought that any threat to U.S. interests would have ended when we bombed the YUGO factory back to the stone age.

Serbia's crime? They tried to stop the "ethnic Albanian's" theft of Kosovo, which had been part of Serbia before the United States came into being.

And once again, the U.S.A. had to take the lead in another European war, even a tiny war like that with Serbia. How many more lives will Americans lose in the future while defending 'our betters' in Europe?

Oh, by-the-way, Clinton didn't get U.N. approval before the unprovoked attack on Serbia. And Serbia wasn't a threat to NATO nations. Why did NATO get involved in Serbia's civil war?

Now, to America's shame, we recognize Kosovo to be a sovereign country under "ethnic Albanian" rule.

It makes me wonder what will happen when the "ethnic Mexicans" that have been flooding across our borders gain a majority in one of our states and demand the right to create their own country, ala Kosovo.

As Brother Wright might say, I wonder what we will do when those chickens come home to roost.
