Hi Bobpa, hedge funds run the gamut from highly leveraged arbitrage funds to long-only value funds.  Generally, the only commonalities among the different types of hedge funds are exclusivity and high fees.  Could you specify what type of hedge fund you're interested in?  With the probable exception of index funds, just about any mutual fund has a hedge fund analogue.
