Hi Brian,
I regret that you are unable to see my point. I've gone back and added a bit of history to my original post in the hope that it will add some depth.
The use of the words intolerance and allegiance are somewhat harsh and incorrect in my opinion. And for the record, I do not believe in or support such attitudes.
What if I am interested in this philosophy, compelled by what I have
learned so far but not totally convinced, sitting on the fence if you
will.......I am not welcome to come here to debate in an effort to
discover the truth, my vision of the truth?
Of course you are. Where did you ever get the idea that you could not ask and debate? There is a big difference between wanting to actually learn by presenting what you are currently doing and wanting to hear a reply rather than insisting you are right and no agruments againt your ideas are acceptable. Basically, if you ask about investing on the Vanguard Diehard board you will naturally get a Diehard responsse.
I am sure if someone posted "total return vs income investing" on the
income and dividend investing board, a very civil discussion would take
place
Well, why don't you try posting an argument for total return over there and be sure not to accept the answers. Instead, insist everyone is wrong and see what happens.
Anyway Brian, I have respect for your thoughts and responses on these boards as well. You have become a valuable contributor.
sincerely,
Paul
