Requesting Assistance with Asset Allocation and Diversification for 401k Fast Eddie  04-21-2008, 11:17 AM | Post #2510239  |

Dear various investors:

I have a 401k with the State of Tennessee, and we are JUST NOW getting additional fund choices that include SC and MC, not to mention a Target Date fund.  I would appreciate anyone's help in suggesting one or more portfolios that I may consider.  The fund offering includes the following:

Just added:  DFIVX, ANVIX, FDSCX, MPSCX, ACRNX, NAMAX, VBTSX, and various Vanguard Target Date Funds including VTINX, VTENX (2010) through VFIFX (2050).

Existing funds: FIGRX, FOCPX, FMAGX, FPURX, SVSPX, CINCX, FGMXX, FCNTX

I should now be able to create a fairly decent portfolio with the newly added funds.  I plan to retire in 20 to 25 years (I am 43).  The only match provided by the employer is a straight $40 per month.

Any suggestions at all are most welcomed.  I have played around a little with XRay but I am not a knowledgeable financial person, so I could use some ideas.  Thanks for any assistance.  Let me know if I need to provide any further information to help with my request.

 Sincerely,

Fast Eddie
