I'm very glad we agree, MWL.  I do think McCain is a truly distinguished candidate for the Presidency.

I really would like him to spend no less time talking about what we all can do to strengthen the economy.  Just talking tax cuts simply won't do the trick (it's an addiction IMHO). As it is, I do agree with his views (and the President's as well) re immigration and the absolute importance of raising educational standards.  I have no issue with charter schools so long as they meet credible academic standards.

I spend a fair amount of time in the Southwest (AZ, NM, TX) and the arbitrary expulsion of millions of people (a new diaspora) would not only reinforce the image of the "ugly American" but it  would cripple our teetering economy.  It would be plain suicide.  Bob U.
