Hi all,
First off the bulk of my investments are in Mutual funds. I am new to ETF's and have only started to investigate them. I am looking to make a $25000 RRSP investment this month to give ETF's a try and find the space is so large it's confusing. Does anybody have any recommendations on a decent mix of ETF's to suit a Canadian investor?
As I see it the content rules are gone so I should be aiming for a global mix. U.S. around 30%, Europe 30%, Canada 10%, Emerging markets?, Bonds?.
At 40 years old I would think I'm still 70-80% equity?
I have opened a TD Waterhouse account. I still have a dormant RBC Action Direct account. Any reccomendation before I start to use either? What about Etrade?
Can (and will I) have access to all ETF's available using a Canadian discount broker? I mean access to all the U.S. and EU ETF's?
thanks in advance,
Greg
