A couple of months ago I posted a note that I had access to the TIAA-CREF Insitituional Mutual Funds via my RA from the university system I retired from. I got around to checking ERs on these Institutional funds this morning and found that several have ERs that are no greater than 0.10%. Here is an e-mail that I sent out to someone that summarizes the very low cost ERs available to faculty in this particular state university system:
"I checked the Prospectus that I have for the TIAA-CREF
Institutional Mutual Funds (dated Feb. 1, 2007) and basically for all
of the Index Funds listed below - Large Cap, Mid Cap and Small Cap - all have
ERs through Apr 30, 2008 of 0.10% or less (most have 0.08%). Admittedly some do
have waivers in this time period but others - Large Cap Growth Index, Large Cap
Value Index, Equity Index and S&P 500 Index - do not have a waiver or the
waiver is only 0.01% (Large Cap Value Index Fund).
In addition their International Equity Index Fund as an ER of only 0.15%;
there is a waiver for it but the waived value is only 0.03%."
Could someone tell me how these ERs compare to that of Vanguard?
Do any of readers of this forum have access to these funds with these ERs?
