Hi Chang, I used to own Ariel Capital Appreciation and my daughter owned Ariel, shortly before both funds started fading and modified their investment styles. While John Rogers remains popular with the financial media, I think he tends to build large positions in stocks that turn out to be value traps. Without M&A and LBOs to provide a lift, I can't see the point of holding any Ariel funds.
