re VGHCX...I owned some of it in 2000 when it was glorious to own but have since sold all of it due to its underperformance. Many investment areas are outperforming the S&P500 and why hold on to something that is doing so poorly? Sure, it will come back some day-maybe but in the mean time it is not a good investment. Other sectors such as energy and materials have much better prospects and records. Just because we all need healthcare does not mean the the sector will do well and I think that demographics and politics will work against the healthcare sector profitability as the government gets more and more into the business. I do not see it as a diversifier except to reduce your overall returns. regards, andy goforit
